Building for everyone learning IT.
Our commitment, where we conform today, and what is still in progress. Honest summary of accessibility state.
Effective 2026-05-20
Our commitment
We want learners to access Revy's Tech Journey regardless of how they navigate the web. CTE classrooms, community colleges, and adult learners include people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnifiers, or alternative input devices. The platform aims to work for all of them.
We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across the public marketing site, the application, and the help center. Some surfaces are further along than others. This page tells you the truth about where we are.
What works today
- Keyboard navigation. Tab through every interactive element. Esc closes modals. Enter activates buttons and links.
- Visible focus. All interactive elements show a visible focus ring.
- Color contrast. Body text meets WCAG AA contrast ratio against the page background. We are reviewing borderline cases.
- Semantic HTML. Headings nest correctly. Buttons are buttons. Links are links. Forms use proper labels.
- Image alt text. All meaningful images have descriptive alt text. Decorative images use aria-hidden.
- Reduced motion. Live pulse animations respect prefers-reduced-motion when the OS reports it.
- Form accessibility. Every input has a visible label and an associated id.
- Mono numbers. All numeric counters use tabular-nums so screen readers and visual scanners both work.
What is still in progress
- Full screen reader audit. We do regular spot checks with VoiceOver and NVDA, but a complete pass against all routes is in the queue.
- VPAT documentation. A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT 2.4 with WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 conformance levels) is being prepared. Available on request for institutional buyers who need it before that.
- Sim mode keyboard shortcuts. The help desk simulator will get explicit keyboard shortcuts for tool switching and ticket actions before launch.
- High-contrast mode. Considering an opt-in higher-contrast theme for low-vision users beyond what the default already provides.
- Caption coverage. When we add video content, every video will have human-edited captions and a transcript.
If something is not working
Tell us. Email support@revystechjourney.com with a description of what you are trying to do, what assistive technology you use, and what is blocking you. We treat accessibility issues as bugs, not feature requests, and prioritize them accordingly.
For institutional buyers
CTE programs, community colleges, and workforce development organizations evaluating platform adoption can request the current VPAT and a written accessibility statement by emailing the address above. We will reply with documentation and a contact for any follow-up questions.
Updates
This page is reviewed quarterly. Material changes (new conformance level, significant new features that affect accessibility) are noted in the changelog at /changelog.
