Sample question

From the quiz pool.

Domain 2.0 Networking

A user reports their laptop connects to the office WiFi but cannot access internal resources. Other users on the same network are unaffected. What is the most likely cause?

ADNS server is down for the entire office
BUser's laptop has an incorrect IP configurationAnswer
CWireless access point has failed
DISP is blocking the user's MAC address
Why

Other users are unaffected, so the AP, DNS server, and ISP are all working. That isolates the issue to the user's machine. The most likely cause is an incorrect IP configuration (wrong subnet, missing default gateway, or APIPA address from a failed DHCP request).

For teachers

Teaching A+ this year? Skip the prep.

The Teacher pilot includes an A+ curriculum browser with 65 lesson slots across Core 1 and Core 2. Download files and answer-key coverage are still being provisioned and verified, so availability is shown per lesson. Review the current samples before planning a course around the kit.

Questions.

How is this different from Mike Meyers or Professor Messer?+

They are great for video lectures. We add practice surfaces video alone cannot give you: filterable flashcards that cycle missed cards back during each deck, exam-style quizzes with explanations, a full V15-aligned Study Guide reference, story-driven Adventure scenarios, a help desk Sim with real tickets, and Practice Exams with RTJ's five interactive PBQ practice patterns. Core 2 currently uses three of those patterns. Use us together if you want.

Do I need both Core 1 and Core 2 to get A+?+

Yes. CompTIA only awards A+ after you pass both. We cover both fully and show a separate Mastery Index and evidence-quality label for each one.

Is the free tier really free?+

Free forever. You get one full Adventure lesson per track, 5 Sim tickets per day, unlimited Study and Flashcards, and one free Practice Exam attempt per cert track. No credit card and no timer.

When should I book the real exam?+

RTJ does not determine when you should schedule. Review your Mastery Index with its evidence-quality label, recent full-length Practice Exam results, domain gaps, pacing, and PBQ practice. The index is an internal, uncalibrated study signal, not a pass prediction or validated cutoff.

Does the platform work for retakes?+

Yes. If you failed once we will tell you specifically which domains you need to focus on, with a targeted study plan.
