Configure an access point's SSID, WPA3 security, and channel
On a canned vendor-neutral AP CLI, set the SSID (RTJ-Office), WPA3-Personal security with the approved placeholder passphrase, and the 5 GHz channel 44 at 80 MHz width, then show the applied config to confirm the lines. The passphrase is an intentionally-fake placeholder and the simulator masks it; real products vary, so never assume a configuration display is safe to disclose. This proves the configuration lines, not radio behaviour (coverage, throughput, interference). Do not claim this canned AP is a real product. This page teaches a job procedure. These are not exam questions, this is not a score predictor, and nothing here is taken from any certification exam.
Steps
- 1
Run set ssid RTJ-Office to name the network.
- 2
Run set security wpa3-personal passphrase "APPROVED_PASSPHRASE_PLACEHOLDER" (an intentionally-fake placeholder; the AP stores it hidden).
- 3
Run set channel 44 width 80 to set the 5 GHz channel and width.
- 4
Run show applied-config and confirm ssid RTJ-Office, security wpa3-personal, passphrase ******** (masked), channel 44, channel-width 80.
What you should see
show applied-config lists the SSID, WPA3-Personal, the masked passphrase, channel 44, and 80 MHz width. The config is applied in the simulation; it does not prove radio behaviour, and the passphrase is masked.
