Service PC-12 with compressed air and ESD controls
Service the canned PC-12 tower by disconnecting power, grounding the ESD strap at the chassis, wearing the required PPE, handling and storing RAM as instructed, routing cables, and removing dust with compressed air.
Steps
- 1
PC-12 is shut down, but its power cord remains connected. The customer's tower needs dust removed with compressed air and its RAM handled. Disconnect the power cord. Clip the ESD wrist strap to the chassis ground point. Put on safety goggles and the air filter mask. Remove the RAM module, hold it by the edges, and place it in an antistatic bag. Route the cables clear of the walkway, then clean the dust with compressed air. The bench refuses RAM removal when power is connected or the strap is not clipped, and it refuses compressed-air cleaning when power is connected or goggles are not worn. A power-button press is not part of the evaluated procedure. What you should see
PC-12 shows disconnected power, a chassis-clipped ESD strap, goggles and mask worn, RAM held by the edges and placed in an antistatic bag, cables routed clear of the walkway, and compressed-air cleaning recorded.
