Stop a runaway process and tame startup
On the canned DESIGN-WKSTN-12 Windows 11 practice box, sort Processes by CPU, end Adobe Media Encoder at PID 8420, then open Startup and disable the enabled Adobe Creative Cloud entry. The fixed values are representative samples and do not inspect or change the learner's machine.

On Processes, sort the CPU column from highest to lowest and confirm Adobe Media Encoder at 89.4% is the one clear outlier.

Confirm Adobe Media Encoder at PID 8420, then choose End task without ending any decoy process.

Open Startup, select the enabled Adobe Creative Cloud High-impact entry, and choose Disable.
What you should see
CPU remains the selected sort, Adobe Media Encoder is ended, and Adobe Creative Cloud remains listed with startup disabled.
